UHMW-PE pipes can only be welded by loose flange connection and electrofusionbecause of their melt characteristics.
The UHMW-PE pipe fange joints are difterent from traditional pipe flange joints, because of ts unique molecular structure, after the pipe isinstalled with the flange, the pipe nozzle is heated twice, and after reaching the set temperature, the pipe wal of the pipe nozzle is shapedtwice to form a protective edge perpendicular to the pipe nozzle. Because the protective edge is integrated with the pipe material, the sealinggasket of the pipe connectlon is more durable than that of the traditlonal flange connectlon.
